1. Purpose
These Terms and Conditions of Use govern access to and use of the Depanjo platform, available at depanjo.ca. By using the platform, the user unconditionally accepts these Terms.
2. Definitions
- Platform: the Depanjo website and mobile application.
- Client: any individual who posts a service request on the platform.
- Jo (Jobber): any individual who offers services through the platform.
- Mission: the service contract concluded between a Client and a Jo via the platform.
- Commission: the fee charged by Depanjo on each completed mission.
3. Registration and Account
Registration on the platform is free. Users agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information upon registration and to keep it current. Each user may only create one account. Account access is protected by a password that the user agrees to keep confidential.
4. Posting and Accepting Missions
The Client posts a service request specifying the nature, location, and desired date of the service. Jos can browse available listings and submit applications. The Client selects the Jo they prefer and confirms the mission. Mission confirmation constitutes a contract between the Client and the Jo, with Depanjo acting as the facilitator.
5. Payment and Commission
Mission payments are processed securely through Stripe. Depanjo charges a 15% commission on the total mission amount, which is clearly indicated before confirmation. Funds are released to the Jo upon mission completion, subject to Client validation.
6. Liability
Depanjo acts as a technical intermediary and is not the employer of any Jo. The contractual relationship is established directly between the Client and the Jo. Depanjo shall not be held liable for the performance of missions, damages incurred during a mission, or disputes between Clients and Jos. Depanjo does, however, provide a mediation service to help resolve disagreements.
7. Personal Data
The collection and use of your personal data are governed by our Privacy Policy, available at depanjo.ca/confidentialite. In accordance with Quebec Law 25 on the protection of personal information, you may exercise your rights by contacting privacy@depanjo.ca.
8. Termination
Users may delete their account at any time from their profile settings or by contacting support@depanjo.ca. Account deletion results in termination of these Terms, subject to ongoing obligations (incomplete missions, open disputes).
9. Applicable Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and applicable federal laws of Canada. Any dispute regarding their interpretation or performance shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Montreal, Quebec.
